Here is a typical photography schedule for a fairly traditional wedding, assuming the bride and groom have chosen not to see each other before the ceremony.

We arrive at the church to begin photography approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours prior to the ceremony.

15-30 minutes of last-minute dressing and preparation, bride putting on jewelry, groom looking nervous, etc.

45 minutes of photography with the bride and her bridesmaids, family, etc. in the church

45 minutes of photography with the groom and his groomsmen, family, etc. in the church

The pre-ceremony schedule allows a little bit of leeway, and we clear everyone out of the sanctuary around 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony, allowing guests to begin to arrive and be seated. During this 45-minutes we usually do a few shots of guests arriving, as well as photos of the decorations, guestbook, etc.

After the ceremony, receiving line, exit from the chapel, etc. we take 30-45 minutes to photograph the bride and groom together with their wedding party and families.

After the obligatory family photos are done, we like to stop once or twice on the way to the reception. If the schedule allows, our favorite part of the day is spending a couple of hours photographing the bridal party around town at parks or places that are important or memorable to the bride and groom. We like to capture special moments shared between the bride and groom, as well as fun and creative shots of everyone.

After the fun pictures around town, its time to go to the reception! This is our chance to capture the essence of what makes your wedding day a truly memorable occasion: a gathering of your closest family and friends, all there to share in your joy and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
